Window sills added

I’ve added window sills and trim to finish off the glass block windows. Both the bathroom and laundry room have these glass block windows.

I also added some plastic channel trim around the shower tile where it meets the drywall.

Hanging doors

I was able to save 2 of the doors during the initial demolition. Today I rehung one of them in the bathroom, and another in the new bedroom. I also saved some bi-fold door from the closet demolition and repurposed them for the new mechanical closet. Meanwhile, I’ve ordered completely new doors for the laundry room, bedroom closets, linen closet, and water and sewer service closet.

Flooring company brings in specialists

Something is wrong with the wood grain vinyl flooring because the corners are lifting. The flooring company has been investigating the possible cause. They’ve brought in their distributor. They’ve also brought the manufacturer in to take a look at the problem. Everything was installed to the specifications, so they can’t seem to figure out what is going on.

Laundry room cabinets installed!

One of the reasons we used wood framing on the laundry room wall was to hang cabinets. Today I did just that, and added a laundry tub base cabinet, too. I was very precise about making the plumbing fit perfectly inside.

Under a laundry tub, hot and cold pipes are shown with shutoff valves. The water pipes and drain pipe protrude from perfect holes in the back of the cabinet.
